Couple & Relational Therapy

From a Trauma-Informed Relational Lens

At Brickel and Associates, couple or relational therapy is rooted in trauma-informed care and grounded in approaches that confirm safety which helps partners build connection, understanding, and resilience.

We work with couples of all identities and structures, including LGBTQIA+ couples, nontraditional partnerships, and chosen families.

Relationships can both reflect past wounds and allow for healing. Our therapists help couples explore how individual trauma histories, attachment patterns, and nervous system responses influence connection, communication, and conflict. We focus on creating a safe space where both partners can engage with curiosity, compassion, and presence.
